Piroxicam-beta-cyclodextrin (also known as piroxicam-β-cyclodextrin) is made by a unique process route, in which pharmaceutical grade piroxicam and pharmaceutical grade beta-cyclodextrin are included and refined in a specific ratio.
Furthermore, the inclusion complex exhibits reduced odor, enhanced stability, and a more consistent drug release rate compared to the piroxicam monomer, making it primarily suitable for anti-inflammatory and analgesic medications.
